There are many things that I have seen that are not holy in the recent revivals and movements.  Animal behavior in human beings attributed to the Holy Spirit is blasphemy to say the least, or it is down right fanaticism and hysteria controlled by evil spirits.   First of all, there is no passage in Scripture where there is a positive picture of a human acting like an animal.  There was one man whom God caused to behave like an animal: Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws. (Daniel 4:33) But that was God’s judgment, not His blessing!  The other example would be the time when Christ cast out a Legion of demons from a man (Luke 8).  The evil spirits had turned him into something like an animal.  The people of Africa understand quite well that such behavior is not the Holy Spirit, but evil spirits.

The Holy Spirit will never degrade a church, a ministry, or a saint with such manifestations.  These manifestations do not uplift the greatness, majesty, and holiness of God.   The Holy Spirit does not degrade a human being like this.  Nebuchadnezzar reaped what he sowed.  Turning over Nebuchadnezzar to this was a just act.  Nebuchadnezzar was smitten with a mental illness because of his rebellious nature.  This mental illness was Zoanthropy (verse 32).
