“Dear Mishpochah (Family),
Like many of you, I was saddened by the news that Todd Bentley and his wife, Shonnah, have recently separated. Todd was a point man for a major move of God’s Spirit. We should pray for Todd and Shonnah and believe God for their restoration.
This does not diminish the great victories that were won through the Lakeland Revival (also called the Florida Outpouring) including the multitudes who were saved and healed. It was a genuine move of God’s Spirit.
Personally, my faith has developed dramatically and the miracles have increased in my ministry as a result of participating in several of the revival meetings.
For now, until we have more complete information, we have decided to remove Todd’s interviews from our TV and radio archives.
Please join me in praying for Todd and Shonnah as well as the entire staff of Fresh Fire Ministries.Shalom and Love,
Sid Israel Roth”
It’s amazing to me how Lakeland is exposing ministers left and right for what they really are. There is no discernment among them. It is true Lakeland Revival has become a dividing line, a winnowing field-a place of separation.
God didn’t have the Psalms removed from being placed in the Book because of David’s adultery and murder. That’s because David was a true prophet and the Psalms were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Plus David fully repented. I have found none of these pastors and ministers repenting over supporting this supposed revival. God help us All! I know now how and the means by which Antichrist will be so easily accepted.
I agree. We need to see repentance from Todd Bentley to the body of Christ as well as those in leadership who lifted him up before the world. I do not believe that God allows the Holy Spirit to work through someone who is having marital problems to the extent his wife left him in June during the “revival”, had an inappropriate relationship with a female staff member , was drinking excessively and was either withholding truth or not telling the truth much of the time about his personal life, all during the time of the “revival”.
