A BRIEF STATEMENT CONCERNING THE DOCTRINE AND
MINISTRY STYLE OF PATRICIA KING, by Gatekeepers International, Phoenix, AZ
(As of June 21, 2007)

Because of a recent and widespread outburst of controversy related to the doctrine and ministry style of Patricia King in segments of the body of Christ to which we are related, the undersigned reluctantly and cautiously sense an obligation to release this brief statement of our position.Particularly over the past two years increasing numbers of Christian leaders with whom we are related have been asking us our opinion of Patricia King and her ministry. Although this would not have been our choice, circumstances converged to the point that we felt compelled to look into the allegations in order to form balanced and accurate opinions. We discussed this with peers representing both sides of the controversy in roundtable settings, through personal conversation with individuals who have dealt with the situation first hand, in consultation with those who have specialized in some of the theological issues raised, listening to her CDs, reading her books, in extensive correspondence through email, by personal contact with Patricia’s spiritual/apostolic covering, and extensively with Patricia herself. We wanted to leave no stones unturned as we matured in our understanding of the situation and as we reached our conclusions. We do not feel that it is necessary at this point to list in detail the differences that have surfaced. It is sufficient to mention that theologically we have serious concerns with some aspects of Patricia’s doctrine of the dead. In terms of ministry style we cannot accept at face value some of the physical manifestations typical of her meetings as emanating from the Holy Spirit. We feel that a disproportionate number of those who sit under her ministry are in danger of subjecting themselves to a spirit of error. In light of our findings, we regretfully find it necessary to state that at present we will not be able to endorse Patricia King’s ministry until such a time that she chooses to make appropriate corrections. We want to make it clear that we are not opposing Patricia King as a person, as a servant of God, or as a gifted leader. We have been and will continue to pray that God will work out this unpleasant situation for His glory and for fulfilling every bit of the destiny that He has in mind for Patricia.C.  If Dr. Hamon supports Todd Bentley, then he supports Patricia King, of whom he issued a correction last year through the Gatekeeper’s Ministry in Phoenix, AZ. She is Bentley’s mentor, and sitting right there on the platform at most of his meetings overseering this. See a copy of the letter below, signed by Peter Wagner and Dr. Hamon, among others. How soon they forgot. So stand up and bring the needed correction to Bentley’s and King’s lies about portals and angels and other manifestations that are devilish. If you visit her website and read intensively, you will discover many falsehoods and mixtures.

You should be concerned with more than her doctrine of the dead. You should see her Light Club where she is teaching ecstatic dancing. Wake up church! The dancing that Patricia King is promoting at her ministry, the ecstatic dance, comes from SHAMANISM! They call it getting into “ecstasy.” Ecstatic dance, trance dancing, kundalini dancing, dancing through shamanic portals, the four elements, tribal sounds, movement meditation, ecstatic shamanic dance, puja funk, shamantic healings…this is all tied to SHAMANISM! Google it for yourself using any of these words, and read a bit, if you don’t believe me! (I will not list any websites here.) One website said, “Dance is our prayer, as we become dance floor shamans!”
Search it out for yourself as I did! It’s becoming the popular thing to do in fitness centers, dance classes, exercise classes, dance clubs, women’s exercise classes at churches and more! Why are Christians allowing this to infiltrate the church?? Wake up church! Renounce this in Jesus Name! Put a stop to this and bring correction, and renounce these people promoting this pagan worship! This is worship to evil spirits! They are not supposed to mix this with worship to the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, and His Word!
